Dragon Nest is a free to play action MMORPG developed by Eyedentity Games for Windows. The game mixes adrenaline-pumping and high-speed combat with visually stunning attack combos with an epic storyline and role-playing elements of both classic RPGs and traditional MMORPGs alike. Players follow the character through a third-person, over-the-shoulder perspective, and when in combat, you engage the enemies in a third person shooter style gameplay where you have to aim every single blow through a crosshair and dodge every single enemy's attack.
Actions in the game have been designed with regards to factors such as character movement, monster reaction and interaction with geographical features and the players can take the full advantage of them to throw dynamic attack combos at the monsters using the keyboard and the mouse. Dragon Nest applies the WASD-mouse combo, a traditional control for third-person shooter games, which allows the player to quickly change views and move more fluidly.
Dragon Nest offers 4 basic classes to choose from and at a certain level each class can further specialize in different sub-classes. The basic classes are: Archer: an agile elven bow master who rains arrows upon her enemies from afar, but when things get too close, she’s completely capable of handling the situation with powerful kick attacks. Warrior: Wielding powerful, two-handed weapons and specializing in close-range combat, the warrior is undoubtedly a dangerous and intimidating character in the battlegrounds. Cleric: This spiritual character commands healing abilities to keep himself agile and employs lightning magic to smite his foes. Even with his magical proclivities, he can more than hold his own in physical combat. Sorceress: Unleashing powerful spells to conquer her enemies from a distance, the mystical sorceress is the prime spell-caster of Dragon Nest.
Level design of Dragon Nest is fresh and innovative, and in traditional levels players have to solve given puzzles to advance while fending off monsters in the zone to 'clear' the map and advance to the next one.
Such puzzles include opening a specific door or activating an instrument or device, like the ones from action adventure games on consoles.
